This deluxe one-bedroom self-catering cottage is designed for couples seeking space, privacy and tranquillity.
The bedroom features a king-size bed with quality linen, while the en-suite bathroom includes an indoor shower as well as a private outdoor shower, allowing guests to enjoy the fresh Karoo air in complete seclusion.
The cottage offers a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances including a fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, gas stove top, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and coffee facilities, making it suitable for both short and extended stays. A comfortable sitting and dining area with a fireplace creates a warm and inviting space during cooler months, complemented by air conditioning, a ceiling fan, heating and Wi-Fi for year-round comfort.
Outdoors, guests can unwind in a private garden with views of the surrounding mountains, enjoy al fresco meals on the patio, make use of the braai facilities or cool off in the plunge pool. The setting is ideal for slowing down after days spent exploring nearby villages, wine routes, nature reserves, cycling routes and hiking trails through the Karoo landscape
THE AREA
Barrydale is a rural village in the Western Cape, positioned where the Overberg meets the Klein Karoo. Set at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains along the well-known Route 62, the village enjoys a scenic valley setting with easy access to both inland and coastal regions. The area is characterised by open landscapes, surrounding farmland and dramatic mountain backdrops.
Warm, dry summers and mild winters support vineyards, orchards and small-scale farming, giving the area its relaxed agricultural character and wide open feel. Barrydale is known for its quiet pace of life and close-knit community.
