THE POD

One of six eco pods situated on a working olive farm just outside the town of Wellington, a 60-minute drive from Cape Town. The pods (100m apart) offer a retreat into nature for those seeking rest, relaxation and reconnection. Contemporary havens of comfort and beauty for the writers, the lovers, the thinkers and the explorers! Untether at Olive View is populated by an orchard of old olive trees and abundant, fragrant fynbos, and the farm is 100% off-grid, solar-powered and eco-friendly.

LIVING 

Earhart Eco Pod opens onto a patio with an outdoor dining area, braai facilities, a potjiekos pot and a pizza oven. Each pod features a private sunken wood-fired hot tub.

The open-plan kitchen is well equipped with a 2-plate gas stove, microwave, cutlery and crockery, utensils, fridge, freezer and tea and coffee facilities.

Solar-powered, fast Wi-Fi is provided and a Bluetooth speaker is available.

THE AREA

The area offers guests a multitude of nature walks, hiking and mountain bike trails that are all accessible from the farm, with routes to suit all fitness and energy levels.

There is an abundance of indigenous fynbos to identify and Wellington is one of the best bird-watching destinations in the Western Cape, so expect to spot a variety of birds on the farm and in the surrounding area. Guests can visit a wide selection of wine farms, restaurants and cafés in the surrounding areas.

GOOD TO KNOW 

Plenty of firewood, firelighters and candles are provided.

Kitchen basics including ice, olive oil, coffee, tea, salt & pepper and a small carton of milk are provided. 

A high-clearance vehicle is recommended to reach the cabin.

Hight speed wireless internet connection (50 mbps).

Converters/ voltage adaptors and a hairdryer are available.

Bathrobes and bathroom amenities are provided.

Board games are provided.

The air-conditioning is turned off at night, but there is a mobile fan for cool air on the warmer nights.
