Tucked away in Midrand—just minutes from the Mall of Africa—Big Inja Farm is a tiny, living-soil regenerative farm designed as a restorative sanctuary for the soul. The moment you turn off the main road onto the gravel track lined with indigenous acacia trees, the city noise fades away. Built on a philosophy of working with nature rather than against it, this off-grid urban haven offers a rare chance to unplug, slow down, and experience mindful, eco-conscious living without a long road trip.

Home to one of the most vibrant bird populations near Pretoria and Johannesburg, guests can spot an incredible diversity of bird species directly from their deck or while strolling the grounds.

Fire Camp is off-grid and the lights and fast WiFi (101 Mbps) will remain on no matter what the load shedding schedule.

Basics like firewood, charcoal, firelighters and ice can be purchased on property

Staples from the farm (raw honey, speciality coffee, free range eggs, artisanal jam, buttermilk rusks and sourdough bread); fresh produce (including veg boxes and flowers); treats (craft chocolate and handmade ice cream) and remade meals can also be purchased on property

Children of all ages welcome; child ages to stay in the four-bunk cabin is 13 and under

If cancelling within 5 days of arrival, get back 50% of every night but the first one.
