Herbarium Cottage is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom stand alone cottage with beautiful outdoor spaces to enjoy. Sheltered and private braai, hot tub and dining area outside and an inside/outside bathroom with a view of our 1000 stars. This cottage is ideal for family stays of 4 or 2 couples looking for a fun breakaway destination. With the hot tub and its beautiful setting in the untouched nature this is a another beautiful accommodation offering on our farm.

The cottage offers an outdoor shower and bath as well as a standalone toilet and wet room with a shower and basin inside.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, keeping you connected during your retreat. Spa services are available by booking, offering a variety of treatments to help you relax and rejuvenate, though they are subject to availability. Whether you're here to unwind, explore, or simply enjoy the tranquil surroundings, our farm provides the perfect backdrop for your stay. 

THE AREA

Darling is a small town situated in the west coast region of the Western Cape. Located about 75 km from Cape Town, the sleepy village of Darling is characterised by rolling vineyards, golden wheat fields, and a colourful patchwork of seasonal wildflowers. Nature lovers will be in their element. The town is traditionally known for its beautiful wildflowers and has hosted the annual Darling Wildflower Show since 1917, attracting tourists from all over.

There is a 4 km well maintained dirt road to access the cottage..

We reserve the right to not refund card fees (transaction costs) in the case of any cancellation or situation where funds need to be reversed back to a credit card.

Children aged between 0 and 18 stay free.

If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.

If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
