THE AREA
Thabazimbi, meaning ‘Mountain of Iron’, is situated in the Waterberg Region of the Limpopo Province in South Africa. The town is located at the feet of the Ysterberg and is surrounded by the Witfonteinrand and Boshofberg with the magnificent Kransberg in the background.
The Marakele National Park, 20 km northeast of the town, is situated in the heart of the Waterberg Mountains and is characterised by contrasting mountain landscapes as well as a variety of wildlife.
