LIVING

The kitchen is well equipped with a gas hob, air fryer, fridge, toaster and tea/coffee facilities. Kitchen basics are made available including fresh farm eggs, olive oil, salt & pepper.

THE AREA

Just over halfway between Montagu & Barrydale, Windvogels offers the rare experience of uninterrupted silence and 360° views of nature. Nestled among hills and semi-desert wilderness, on a 211-hectare farm, It’s a place to unplug and reconnect.

Barrydale Rural is a peaceful, off-the-grid area nestled in the scenic Tradouw Valley at the base of the Langeberg Mountains. Located along the famous Route 62 and just a few hours from Cape Town, it offers a tranquil escape surrounded by orchards, vineyards, and breathtaking mountain views. The region is known for its sunny climate, rich agricultural heritage, and award-winning Joseph Barry brandy. Barrydale itself blends old-world charm with a vibrant artistic spirit, featuring historic architecture, galleries, and craft markets. Nature lovers will find plenty to enjoy, from hiking and cycling trails to birdwatching and swimming in nearby rock pools and reserves. Please use water sparingly, although our water comes directly from the earth - its not endless. The same goes for electricity, If the sun goes down, so should your power usage
