THE COTTAGE

The Retreat is a solar powered hideaway with several fireplaces and has a woodfired hot tub for the relaxing evenings. Its situated on separate grounds with lovely garden and mountain views, from the spacious cottage with private garden you can easily step straight into the nature reserve . An ideal year round destination for those who prefer stylish accommodation but want more space than a just a hotel suite.

LIVING 

The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, all expected modern appliances such as Nespresso coffee station and a separate dining area. Bar area and indoor fireplace. Main bedroom with a king bed, Egyptian cotton linen, en-suite luxurious bathroom with rain shower, bath, and toilet. TV with Netflix and fast WIFI.

The living room has a comfortable seating area and separate guest toilet. Outside, the undercover terrace has a braai/fireplace, Kolkol hot tub and lovely garden with breathtaking mountain views and sun loungers, and breakfast patio under the trees.

THE AREA

Swellendam is the 3rd oldest village in South Africa, ideally situated halfway between Cape town and George/Knysna on the Garden Route. Swellendam is the ideal base to explore the Overberg area for a couple of days, peaceful & safe quaint village with lots of attractions and activities close to route 62.
