Wolwehoek Luxury Tented Camp

Wolwehoek Tented Camp is set in the mountains of Montagu; the spectacular reserve has deep kloofs, high peaks and untouched nature. This secluded luxury tent offers an experience of beauty and is a natural, off-the-grid oasis for two guests. A high-rise vehicle or 4x4 is needed to reach the cabin.

THE TENTED CAMP

This glamping experience is 100% private and secluded, the nearest people are 4 km back down the road which has a dead-end at the camp and is for guest access only.

LIVING

The Luxury Tented Camp is completely off-the-grid (no signal or Wi-Fi) and runs on solar energy. This energy is used to power lights inside and outside, as well as the fridge. The camp has a bedroom with a small study area and a king-size bed fitted with premium bed linen. The en-suite bathroom has a large bath, with steps leading to the outdoor shower which boasts incredible views down the valley.

Hand-made soaps and body products that are organic, chemical-free and made with fynbos essential oils are provided. There are no electrical appliances or plug points in the cabin.

Follow the walkways around the camp to the pool that comes equipped with a wood-burning heater to transform it into a hot tub! The braai/BBQ area and outdoor lounge have a pizza oven. All utensils, pizza-making tools, braai grids and a potjie pot are supplied, including wood for the braai, oven and hot tub. The lounge area has a large Chesterfield sofa and 2 armchairs. 

THE AREA

Wolwehoek is a nature reserve, so there is a possibility you will encounter animals, insects, reptiles, etc which we have no control over. Wolwehoek is home to a variety of wild animals including a +- 10-year-old female Leopard. The most dangerous animals on the reserve are snakes, we ask guests to please be mindful when walking around in the mountains to avoid stepping on any. The town of Montagu is 40 km away, and Cape Town International Airport is approximately 209 km away.

GOOD TO KNOW

A R 1,000 refundable breakage deposit is due 10 days prior to arrival. This is refunded back to you 3 days post departure, less any breakages if applicable.

250 pieces of wood and firelighters are provided. 

Hot water bottles are provided. 

There is a  dirt road (+/- 15 minute drive) leading up to the entrance of the cabin.

All guests are required to complete an indemnity form before visiting the camp.

If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.

If cancelling 15 days before arrival, forfeit 15% of the deposit.
